Andre’a Kirkland is a native of Colorado, a graduate of University of Northern Colorado and Regis University. She has had many career opportunities which have led her to becoming a clinical counselor and yoga instructor. Due to an unfortunate snowboarding accident she ended up with a brain injury and severe back and joint issues which brought her to yoga and in turn created a gateway to help her teach and guide other people to reconnect with their bodies.
She has specialized in Inter-generational trauma, PTSD and invisible injuries and the various connected symptoms with all branches of the military for the past 19 years. Through her company she hopes to reach all walks of life and help individuals, adolescents and families reengage with their passion in life.
Andre’a is a Licensed Professional Counselor and currently holds her 200HR Yoga Alliance teacher certification, and is working towards her 500HR certification. Andre’a has trained with Love your Brain yoga and Veteran Yoga Project and loves teaching groups methods of breathing, meditating and practicing asana practices. She currently resides in Denver Colorado and she is dedicated to raising awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress, Invisible injuries and healing through chronic pain in a holistic way. Steps 2 Hope Wellness Center offers mental health services and effort-based healing focused yoga classes. Andre’a is a teacher at heart and believes everyone can achieve their aspirations and goals once their heart is invested in the process.

To achieve optimal wellness, one must apply it towards every possible endeavor. You can apply a wellness approach towards your environment, community, career, belief systems, physical activities, self care, healthy eating, self esteem, and creative activities. Applying wellness in your everyday life will allow you to achieve your full potential and live with passion and purpose.
